About Me
Dr. Boone received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of New Mexico (1985). Dr. Boone was a National Institutes of Mental Health Fellow from 1987-1988 and earned a Master's degree in Psychology from Oklahoma State University in 1988. Dr. Boone completed his pre-doctoral internship in Clinical Psychology at Eastern Virginia Medical School and earned his Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Oklahoma State University in 1993. Dr. Boone is a licensed clinical psychologist with post-doctoral specialty training in Clinical Neuropsychology from West Virginia University (WVU). After serving as a Faculty Neuropsychologist at WVU School of Medicine for 6 years, Dr. Boone provided comprehensive neuropsychological services to children and adults in a primary care medical setting for 15 years in Morgantown, WV. He has established a statewide reputation for providing high-quality psychological and neuropsychological services. Dr. Boone served as 2014 President of the West Virginia Psychological Association (WVPA), the state affiliate for the American Psychological Association (APA) and the nation’s largest professional psychology organization. Dr. Boone is also a WVU Medical School Clinical Assistant Professor and a WVU Department of Psychology Adjunct Assistant Professor. He has extensive experience teaching and conducting clinical research, and he has published numerous peer-reviewed abstracts and papers. Dr. Boone is an active member of several professional organizations, including the International Neuropsychological Society (INS), National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN), APA and WVPA.
